Maildroid

Ok the first app in my list is still one from last year (last year it was a free app), Yes you guessed it Maildroid. Now my experience is with the full paid version and in my honest opinion is well worth the current price of 17.99.

Would you like to squeese a few more icons on the desktop? maybe you would like to change the dock background? If any of these questions made you say yes then ADWLauncher EX is what you need. I have tried a few home replements and as far as I'm concerned ADWLauncher EX is by far the best and fastest.

ES File explorer

When it comes to searching the file system I have tried a few of the apps out there. The one thing that rings true is I always come back to ES File explorer. It works, works well, does more than I need and has built in network sharing that works. So with all this and several add-ons why use anything else? In my opinion this is the best file explorer on the market.

PowerAMP Music Player

What would a smertphone without an awsome media player be? Well just another expensive phone right. The default player in Android just sucks, exspecially if you have flac files or even a collection of avi's. Android just does not like to play them. After many trial and error's I have found this wonderful Music player Power Amp. It play's everything I need and has yet to cause me any issue's. if you want an all in one media player go ahead and give it a try. as this is a paid app you and runs as a trial you can get the trial below with the QR code below.

SoundHound

No big surpirise here, Just a must have to search and find that song you hear and can't remember the name of. My favorite part is the ability to send the results to either Twitter, SMS or a few others. I tend to just send all my finds to Twitter. If available it also shows all the lyrics. I love the app so I use the paid version.

Remote Desktop Client

Have you ever wished you could access your home computer from anywhere in the world? Well I did and then came the part of looking for an app that did this on my Android. Well after trying out a few remote desktop apps, I found Remote Desktop Client. All I can say is wow! it just works and has more settings than a Swiss army knife, From resolution to sound to keyboards. It does it all and does it very well. So if stability and the need to just have it work is what you are after look no further and try Remote Desktop Client by Xtralogic, Inc.

Camera ZOOM FX

Ok so we all now have an expectation that no matter what phone we buy it will have a camera. Now from my experience the hardware developers are not putting too much effort into the camera app it’s self just making sure it has a camera seems to be the norm.
Well no need to worry about this anymore, we now have the best camera app I have ever seen or used on my android phone Camera ZOOM FX. The app has many options to play with and best of all has several add-ons to make taking pictures fun. Plus some of the add-ons can actually make your photos better.

So many new apps are coming!!
It has been reported that android just hit 30,000 apps. Yeah i know it's still way behind the iphone, but I do suspect that this number will double by christmas. The way I look at it is you can install an application from bluetooth, usb, download from your phone and more, so it will make other sites pop up as time goes on to sell apps.
Just read an article that even AOL is getting in on the android app business and has developed 2 apps already. ;-) Yeah I know who is still using AOL. L0L
