Free Malware Software

Malware, short for malicious software, is software designed to infiltrate a computer system without the owner's informed consent. The expression is a general term used by computer professionals to mean a variety of forms of hostile, intrusive, or annoying software or program code. The new Malware we are finding today has become very good at looking like legitimate software that can help the user. A good example of this type of malware is Malware Defvender 2009, as the name implies you would think it's developed to help remove malware. The sad truth is this software does a great job at looking real but is nothing short of malicious in design. I have a guide here. on how to remove this from your computer.

Free Spyware Software

Spyware is basically defined as any software program or application which harvests or installs itself on your computer without your awareness or immediate knowledge, gains access to personal information and secretly monitors pc user behavior. It can also attempt to take partial control over the users interaction with the pc and can access credit card information, monitor your emails, track websites you visit, hijack system settings and corrupt your files. It is also designed to alter and lower security settings in internet explorer which will make your computer more vulnerable to receiving infections while you surf the web.

Anti Virus Paid & Free

A computer virus is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer without the permission or knowledge of the owner. The term "virus" is also commonly but erroneously used to refer to other types of malware, adware, and spyware programs that do not have the reproductive ability. A true virus can only spread from one computer to another (in some form of executable Code) when its host is taken to the target computer; for instance because a user sent it over a network or the Internet, or carried it on a removable medium such as a floppy disk, Compact Disc, DVD, or USB flash drive. Viruses can increase their chances of spreading to other computers by infecting files on a Network file system or a file system that is accessed by another computer.

Backups

Data loss usually comes in a few known flavors: accidental deletion, hard drive failure and hardware theft (usually in the case of laptops). All three of these scenarios can be avoided if your data is regularly duplicated to a second drive or a second computer. When looking for bachup software, make sure it backups automatically. Some free software works great but requires you to manually start the backups. The 2 links above a great free options that only require you to set it up, after the initiall setup the software works on it's own. If you reqiure help or have questions about a good backup strategy please call.
